Arkansas and Oklahoma, what is soon to become a significant SEC rivalrly, are set to play a warm-up rivalry Saturday at lunchtime in Tulsa.

The Razorbacks and Sooners tip in a nonconference meeting at the BOK Center at noon. Arkansas enters as the No. 9 team in the country and is coming off back-to-back Elite Eight apperances.

But Oklahoma handled the Hogs with ease about this time last year, winning by 22 points. The Sooners didn’t make the NCAA Tournament, ultimately, but proved they aren’t exactly a noncon pushover before the join the big dog conference.

Both teams appears to be on track for similar seasons this year. OU (7-2) may be a bit closer to the bubble, while Arkansas has dreams of a Final Four. The Razorbacks will have a change from their first nine games, though.

Forward Trevon Brazile was lost for the season last time out when he torn his ACL against North Carolina-Greensboro. Brazile, a Missouri transfer, hadn’t started a game yet, but was Arkansas’ fourth leading scorer, anyway, and a key component in their frontcourt rotation, a place where the Hogs are somewhat thinner.
