SEC teams are preparing for their final conference game of the regular season, and the Auburn Tigers are feeling confident after winning its second-straight game on Tuesday, defeating Missouri by 27 on the road.
Five teams have a legitimate chance to win the SEC heading into the final weekend of regular season play, and seven teams from the conference are in good shape to earn an NCAA Tournament bid. As for Auburn, they have a great chance to earn a respectable bid as they remain a top-20 team in several categories within the KenPom.

Auburn continues to work its way back into the top 10 for adjusted offensive efficiency. The Tigers dropped 101 points in Tuesday’s win at Missouri, which has increased their forecasted output. According to KenPom, Auburn is projected to score 121.3 points per 100 possessions, which ranks third among SEC teams behind Alabama (No. 1) and Kentucky (No. 8).
Auburn posted another great defensive game Tuesday, allowing Missouri to shoot 34% from the field and holding them to 74 points. KenPom forecasts Auburn to allow opponents to score 93.4 points per 100 possessions. Only Tennessee ranks higher in this category among SEC teams at No. 3.
Auburn played above average in tempo on Tuesday. By KenPom standards, Auburn is good at creating 69.9 possessions per game. However, in Tuesday’s win over Missouri, Auburn produced 74 offensive possessions and scored on 45 of them.
Auburn’s strength of schedule has increased dramatically over the last few weeks. They now crack the top 50 in this category ahead of next week’s SEC Tournament, which could help its chances at earning a higher seed for the NCAA Tournament.
