Colorado Buffaloes men’s basketball looking to stay hot at USC

Winners of two straight and seven of its last eight, the Colorado men’s basketball team is back on the West Coast for a pair of challenging Pac-12 road games.

First up: USC on Thursday. The 11-5 Trojans are coming off a narrow 60-58 loss to then-No. 10 UCLA and like the Buffs, they’ve had a somewhat odd season with wins over then-No. 19 Auburn and BYU and losses to Florida Golf Coast and Washington State.

Guard Boogie Ellis leads USC with 15.7 points per game.

Meanwhile, Colorado is riding the hot hand of its defense, which allowed just 83 combined points last weekend against the Oregon schools. Tristan da Silva was the leading scorer in both of those games and earned himself Pac-12 Player of the Week.

Tipoff between the Buffs and Trojans is at 7 p.m. MT on the Pac-12 Network.
