Projected 2022-23 starting lineup, rotation, more

The count down to the 2022-23 college basketball season is on and Hubert Davis leads North Carolina into a year with some high expectations.

After four of UNC’s five starters from their Final Four run a year ago return, plus the addition of Pete Nance, the Tar Heels are one of the favorites to not only win the Atlantic Coast Conference but the national championship as well.

With that, the Tar Heels will certainly have a target on their back those high expectations will continue to grow. The team has been working hard this Summer and with official practices in a few months, we will get our first look at the team coming off that impressive 2021-22 season.

But what will the starting lineup and rotation look like? As the Summer continues on, it was time to update what the Tar Heels lineup will be including the sixth man, rotation, and more.

R.J. Davis has improved in each of his first two seasons with the program and will enter his junior year as one of the best point guards in the country.

2021-22 stats: 13.5PPG, 4.3RPG, 3.6APG

SG: Caleb Love (Jr.)

Caleb Love is coming off the best season of his career, helping UNC reach the title game. Love was a catalyst for the Tar Heels’ tournament run, coming up big against UCLA and Duke when UNC needed him the most. His return is key as it gives UNC a legit scorer in the back court.
