LeBron James won’t play Thursday versus Bucks

The Los Angeles Lakers have made three trades in the last 48 hours, and thus, they will be shorthanded on Thursday versus the Milwaukee Bucks as everything gets finalized.

Russell Westbrook, Thomas Bryant, Patrick Beverley, Juan Toscano-Anderson and Damian Jones are all on their way out, and thus Los Angeles will be without them when it takes on Giannis Antetokounmpo’s crew.

Unfortunately, it will also be without its main centerpiece.

LeBron James will not play against the Bucks due to left ankle soreness, an ailment he has been dealing with for much of this season.

Therefore, the Lakers will have to make do with a seriously depleted active crew.

Fortunately, head coach Darvin Ham said that imaging was done on James’ bad foot and that it didn’t reveal anything that was clinically significant.

After they face the Bucks, the Lakers will head north to take on the Golden State Warriors on Saturday and the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday as part of a quick two-game road trip.
