COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Senior guard Jennifer Kremp netted a season-high 20 points and junior forward Kate Montgomery added a double-double (19 points, 11 rebounds) as the Dickinson women’s basketball team snapped their four-game skid with a 68-53 win over the Bears of Ursinus College on Tuesday night in a pivotal Centennial Conference clash at Helfferich Gymnasium.
Clair Marion and Chinwe Irondi exchanged buckets over the opening two minutes of the contest before a Montgomery layup sparked a 14-0 rampage by the Red and Black aided by two Kremp triples to take a 16-2 advantage. Sarah DiLello answered back with six in a row to trim the gap to 16-8. Marion added one more basket with 1:12 left to cap the scoring at 18-8.
