Ohio State football offers Texas tight end Ryder Mix

The change in Ohio State football recruiting and its tight end targets has changed significantly over the last few cycles.

The Buckeyes are targeting pass-catchers and are going after them hard. On Sunday it was Utah 5-star Brock Harris getting an offer. Then on Monday, Texas’ Ryder Mix was the next to get a scholarship from Ohio State.

At 6-foot, 4-inches and 225-pounds, Mix obviously fits the mold of what the Buckeyes are looking for even if he isn’t currently ranked by the major services. His offer list is impressive, with Oregon, Texas A&M, Michigan, and others already pulling the trigger.

Since Mix and Harris are in the same class, it will be an interesting development as to which of them Ohio State will go harder after. Time will tell, but both are great options.
