3 positions Michigan State basketball should target in the transfer portal

Before anyone asks, no, Xavier Booker is not a center. He will play a ‘small ball’ 5 at times, but you can slate him for the power forward spot in the lineup. Think of Booker in a Jaren Jackson Jr. role.

Now, onto the center position, it is no secret that the Spartans have struggled to get scoring production, let alone defending and rebounding production from their centers over this rough four year stretch. While the development of Carson Cooper and Jaxon Kohler has been somewhat steady, it’s time to fix the problem.

Izzo needs to go out and get a center that can aid the offense, while being a solid defender and rebounder.
