LSU was in this thing until the final ten minutes. The Tigers trailed by just three at halftime and even led by one approaching the nine-minute mark in the second half.

It fell apart after that, but given where this team is at, LSU competing for three quarters of the game is promising.

Matt McMahon is still figuring out how to get a complete game out of this team, but the signs are there.

LSU’s already doubled its conference win total from last year and has some decent wins this year, including victories over Wake Forest, Texas A&M and Ole Miss.
