CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Washington Huskies (12-11, 4-8 Pac-12) moved north along their Oregon road trip to the home of Oregon State, a team they beat in January.
 
Saturday’s battle with the Beavers tips off at 4 p.m. on the Pac-12 Network. J.B. Long and Eldridge Recasner have the call on TV while Tony Castricone and Jason Hamilton will call the action on the Husky Sports Network and in Seattle on Sports Radio KJR 950-AM.
 
THE MATCHUP

Washington and Oregon State meet for the 312th time on Saturday. Only two series in college basketball history have more played games than the Huskies and Beavers (Oregon vs. Oregon St. & Washington vs. Oregon). The first meeting took place in 1904, a 22-19 OSU win in Corvallis. The Huskies lead the all-time series 167-144 with 112 of those wins coming in Seattle. UW has won 29 of the last 40 games and seven of the last nine. The teams split the season series last year, with both home teams prevailing.
 
LAST TIME OUT
Washington cut a 20-point deficit to one with more than three-and-a-half minutes to go but Oregon held on for an 85-80 victory on Thursday night. Sahvir Wheeler had 16 points and seven assists for Washington. Keion Brooks Jr. and Braxton Meah both had 15 points with Meah grabbing 10 rebounds. Moses Wood and Koren Johnson both scored 10. Brooks scored his 1,000th point as a Husky.
 
TOP DAWGS
UW is one of five teams in the country with players ranking in the top-20 in points per game and assists per game. Keion Brooks Jr. is one of two DI players averaging 21.0 points per game and 6.9 rebounds per game and shooting 50% overall (Zach Edey). Paul Mulcahy and Sahvir Wheeler each rank in the top-ten in the Pac-12 in assists per game and combine for the most career assists of any backcourt in the country. Wheeler is the active DI leader in assists (787) and ranks in the top 50 in DI history. Mulcahy ranks 21st (534) among active leaders.
 
JULIUS ERVING AWARD WATCH LIST
Brooks Jr. was named a top-10 candidate for the 2024 Julius Erving Award in January. Brooks is in the midst of a career year, shooting 50 percent overall and nearly 40 percent from three-point range. Prior to this season, he had never made more than 30 percent of his threes. Fans can vote on hoopshall.com
