Struggling Colorado men’s basketball to host USC on Saturday

After a promising start to the season, the Colorado men’s basketball team has lost three straight Pac-12 games. Now, the Buffs host the likewise struggling USC Trojans on Saturday in Boulder.

The Trojans (8-8, 2-3 Pac-12) have failed to live up to expectations this year and they just lost a home game to Washington State on Wednesday night. To make matters worse, the Trojans will be without star guard Isaiah Collier for the next four to six weeks after he suffered a hand injury, so his showdown with Colorado star Cody Williams is on hold.

The Buffs (11-5, 2-3) lost to both of the Pac-12’s Arizona schools before suffering an embarrassing loss to Cal on Wednesday.

With Collier out for the foreseeable future, the Trojans could lean more on Bronny James, the son of NBA great LeBron James. Although the younger James went scoreless in USC’s recent loss to Washington State.

Both of these teams come into this weekend needing a victory, but the Buffs should have the upper hand with Collier out and the game being in Boulder.

Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. MT on ESPN2.
