  • Vanderbilt men’s basketball continues its season-opening homestand with a 6 p.m. tip against USC Upstate on Friday, Nov. 10, in Memorial Gymnasium.
  • Friday will be the first-ever meeting between Vanderbilt and USC Upstate. It is the Spartans second-consecutive contest against an SEC foe to open the season after Upstate fell 83-52 at South Carolina on Monday.
  • The Commodores are looking to bounce back after shooting just 32.8 percent from the floor in the season-opening loss on Tuesday.
  • Eight Dores made their Vanderbilt debuts on opening night, including five freshmen. Carter Lang recorded 11 rebounds in his collegiate debut, marking the most by a Vandy freshman in a season-opener since at least 1996-97.
  • Fifth-year Ezra Manjon scored all of his team-leading 19 points in the second half.
  • Vanderbilt racked up 12 steals in game one, led by Manjon and Evan Taylor with three each. The 12 steals were the most by the Dores since recording a dozen swipes against Alabama in 2022.
