155 Greyhounds Honored on 2023 Landmark Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll


TOWSON, Md. — The Landmark Conference announced its 2023 Spring Academic Honor Roll selections today including 155 student-athletes from Moravian University. The Honor Roll recognizes all winter and spring student-athletes who have reached sophomore standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher.

In a change to the Landmark Conference awards structure that began in 2020-21, the spring semester academic honor roll now includes all spring sports as well as men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s swimming & diving, and men’s and women’s indoor track & field.

Moravian had student-athletes from 14 of its winter and spring teams that compete in the conference with the women’s track & field program leading the way with 60 honorees including 26 outdoors and 24 indoors. The men’s track & field team had 26 total honorees with 13 both indoors and outdoors while the men’s lacrosse squad had 15 selections and the women’s lacrosse team had 14 student-athletes selected. The baseball program registered 10 honorees followed by the women’s basketball squad with nine. The softball team had eight student-athletes honored followed by the women’s tennis program with six, the men’s basketball team with five selections and the men’s golf, women’s swimming and men’s tennis teams each with four student-athletes selected.

The women’s track & field team was the runner-up Landmark Conference outdoor championship in May, and the Greyhounds placed third at the indoor meet in February. Leading the Academic Honor Roll nominees are seniors Rachel Byrne, Elizabeth DeMassa, Peyton Herbst, Crystal Robinson, Haylee Saylor, Maddie Wickel and Delaney Wiseman, juniors Vicky Donovan, Emma Garchinsky, and Pia Mazella-DiBosco and sophomores Zoey Bronson, Bella DeMassa, Caillie Fish, Abby Giamoni, Rachael Goodman, Hannah Kolonoski, Catie Lovett, Abby McClaskey, Ally Meeks, Liz Miskovsky, Rylie Murphy, Amber Poniktera, Racquel Ramey, Ashley Rodrigues, Lexi Rushatz and Mikayla Woodring. Everyone on the list except for Donovan and Lovett, who compete in other sports during the winter, also received the honor for the indoor season.

The men’s track & field team finished third at the 2023 Landmark Conference Outdoor Championships and fourth indoors saw seniors Ethan Cherubin, Liam Duffy, Shane Houghton and Christian Jancsarics, juniors Lance Burrier, Casey Frank, Josh Mangini, Derek Mason and Brendon Ward and sophomores Jake Farrell, Geoffrey Kleinberg, Owen Nahf and Wyatt Poniktera
