Lowe Collecting Postseason Accolades Following Storied Career at Fort Bend Marshall


PITTSBURGH – Pitt incoming recruit Jaland Lowe continues to add accolades to his resume following an outstanding senior season. One of the top players in Texas, Lowe earned all-state honors and Texas High School Coaches Association Super Elite Basketball Team recognition.
 
Lowe, a 6-1 point guard, averaged 27.0 points per game while leading Fort Bend Marshall to a 35-4 record, a finals appearance in 5A Region 3, and a No. 3 ranking in the state of Texas. He finished his three-year career with the Buffalos with over 2,000 points,  while building a reputation as an efficient scorer, outstanding teammate, and prototypical lead guard with the ability to make the game easier for teammates.
 
A four-start prospect ranked No. 66 in the class of 2023 ESPN Top 100, Lowe averaged 18.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 2.0 steals per game to earn first team all-tournament honors at the 2022 Peach Jam and was also named Pool Play Co-MVP at the event.
 
Lowe is one of top 10 finalists for the prestigious Guy V. Lewis Award, given annually to the top high school player in the Greater Houston area. The winner will be announced at a reception Wednesday, March 29.
