UCLA Hosts No. 5-Seed Oklahoma in Pauley Monday


LOS ANGELES – UCLA Women’s Basketball (26-9, 11-7 Pac-12) advanced to the second round of the 2023 NCAA Tournament after defeating Sacramento State 67-45 Friday.
 
With the win, the Bruins are set host No. 5-seed Oklahoma (27-6, 14-4 Big 12) on Monday inside Pauley Pavilion presented by Wescom. This will be the seventh matchup in the series between the teams; each program holds three wins over the other. UCLA holds a 2-1 advantage in games played at Pauley.

Charisma Osborne recorded her sixth double-double of the season (11 PTS, 12 REB) and added five assists as the Bruins downed Sacramento State in Pauley Friday. Kiki Rice led UCLA in scoring (15 PTS, 6-11 FG, 3 STL) and Emily Bessoir added 14 points and a pair of blocks in the 22-point first-round victory.

She is 5th in the Pac-12 in field goals made (184 FGM) on the second-most field goal attempts (481 FGA) in the Pac-12. Osborne ranks 1st the Pac-12 in minutes played (1,120 MIN), 7th in FT% (81.6%), and 6th in FTM (102). The senior has 1,748 career points, trailing Anita Ortega (11th: 1,751 PTS) and Monique Billings (10th: 1,761 PTS) on UCLA’s all-time scoring list.
