The North Carolina Tar Heels season did not end as many had hoped, but that has not stopped players from getting credit for their impact.
Armando Bacot has claimed another honor, being named to the first-team All-District 2. The announcement came Tuesday with the National Association of Basketball Coaches releasing their All-District teams.
Bacot is joined by Wake Forestβs Tyree Appleby, Wolfpacksβ Terquavion Smith, Clemsonsβ Hunter Tyson, and ACC player of the year Isiah Wong.
This honor is just one of many that Bacot has collected during his tenure at UNC as he became one of the best to wear Carolina blue.
Bacot averaged 15.9 points, 10.4 rebounds, and one block per game this season. In addition, he broke Hansbroughβs all-time UNC record for double-doubles this season and currently sits second all-time for rebounds in ACC history (1335).
Speculation has started to grow if Bacot returns for one more season, and if he does, more honors could be on the horizon.
