Jazz rookie Walker Kessler gives his respect to 76ers star Joel Embiid

Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid had himself two ginormous games when matched up with the Utah Jazz in the 2022-23 season. In those two games, both wins for the Sixers, Embiid had some career nights.

In a home matchup in November, Embiid put up a historic stat line of 59 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists, and seven blocks in a win as he destroyed anything the Jazz tried to throw at him.

In the road matchup in January, the big fella had 30 points and seven rebounds while drilling the game-winning step-back jumper. Nothing the Jazz did could throw him off as he had a helluva night for Philadelphia.

Utah rookie Walker Kessler was left feeling impressed with what he saw from Embiid as he told Sirius XM Radio:

I think he had 60, 14, like seven assists, and seven blocks, so you tell me. The first time he had a career night. The second time we played him out in Utah, I feel like I did pretty well against him, but he hit a driving, step back, one-foot game-winner on me and that one was frustrating.

Kessler has a bright future in the league as he has proven he can be a starter in this league already. However, he isn’t a match for Embiid just yet as the big fella is one of the best players in the game regardless of position.
