Here at Tar Heels Wire, we decided to go back and look at some classic UNC athletics events and highlights, doing so with YouTube clips.
We will do our best to put out an article each week on Friday to spotlight a YouTube video that has a certain UNC memory attached to it. Most of the time, it will be in relation to an upcoming event for the weekend. But other times, it could just be whatever we felt like watching that day.
For this one, we are going back to 2014 when No. 19 UNC paid a visit to NC State for an ACC showdown. The two teams battled in a hard-fought game that saw UNC come back not once but twice.
The Tar Heels trailed by as many as 11 before rallying to force overtime and then did it again as they were down 6 with under 2 minutes to go.
With the game tied at 83, TJ Warren hit a free throw to give the Wolfpack a 84-83 lead. But it was Marcus Paige who got the last laugh as you can see below:
Paige finished the game with 35 points, scoring 31 of those in the second half and overtime periods. His big game was a big reason for UNC rallying and making the comeback.
