Channise Lewis Leads Pitt To Home Win Over Boston College, 75-64

PITTSBURGH – The Pitt women’s basketball team (10-16, 3-12 ACC) earned their second straight ACC win Thursday night as they notched the 75-64 victory over the Boston College Eagles at the Petersen Events Center. The Panthers have now won three of four overall in ACC play for the first time since the 2014-15 campaign.

Graduate transfer Channise Lewis was the difference maker for the Panthers Thursday as she netted a career-high 15 points and added six assists while going 5-for-8 from the floor and 3-for-5 from behind the arc in the win. Dayshanette Harris scored in double figures for the fourth straight game as she netted 13 points, three assists and three steals while Liatu King came off the bench and netted eight points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Senior captain Amber Brown finished off her night with four points and a team-high seven rebounds as she moved into 10th place on Pitt’s all-time rebounds charts with her 665th career board.

The Pitt bench had another monster game in the win as they scored 51 bench points in the win while the Eagles only scored eight in the loss. The Panthers have scored 109 bench points in the last two games, the most over a two-game span in program history. They have notched 50+ bench points in back-to-back contests for the first time in program history.
