Baylor holds off Arkansas’ charge in final minutes

Arkansas did just about everything it could to leave Waco with a win.

But the Hogs’ aggressive play-style didn’t fit in Texas.

Baylor held off Arkansas’ comeback attempt at the free-throw line, canning 4 of 4 in the final 10 seconds before Joseph Pinion’s potential game-tying 3-pointer from the corner missed, leading to a 67-64 Bears win in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge.

Arkansas didn’t help itself on the line it had the chance, going 6 of 11 from the stripe. Baylor made 21 of 24, including the four late as Arkansas was forced to foul to rally.

Ricky Council scored 25 points to lead Arkansas and Devo Davis added another 16. Keyonte George led Baylor with 24 with LJ Cryer scoring another 20.
