Domantas Sabonis ruled out of Lakers-Kings game

The Los Angeles Lakers need to rip off some wins in bunches and make a move in the Western Conference, but their schedule won’t be doing them a lot of favors.

They will face Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday and the Los Angeles Clippers next week, and on Jan. 28, they will start a five-game road trip that features games against the Boston Celtics, New York Knicks and New Orleans Pelicans.

Tonight, L.A. hosts the Sacramento Kings, a team that has been on an offensive tear lately by scoring over 130 points in each of its last five games.

Luckily for the Lakers, they will catch a break, as center Domantas Sabonis won’t play, and neither will reserve guard Matthew Dellavedova.

Sabonis is the team’s second-leading scorer at 18.9 points per game, and he is someone who can score in multiple ways, whether it is in the paint or from the outside. He is also averaging 12.6 rebounds and 7.1 assists per game, so the Kings will sorely miss him.
