Arkansas and Missouri fans both nervous ahead of tip

Arkansas is in must-win mode. Missouri doesn’t want to lose a second straight this year to the Razorbacks.

Wednesday’s game between the teams should provide drama, if not necessarily the must-watch aesthetic at 8 p.m. from Columbia.

Arkansas won the first meeting Jan. 4 in Fayetteville. It remains the Hogs’ only SEC win as they’ve dropped three straight since. And, like many of Arkansas’ wins this year, it required a rally, something the team hasn’t done much of in the last two weeks.

The Hogs aren’t exactly in danger of falling out of the NCAA Tournament conversation yet, despite the 1-4 SEC mark. ESPN’s Joe Lunardi dropped them to a No. 6-seed in his latest Bracketology released Tuesday. But a loss would certainly suggest the remaining 12 games – plus a nonconference game against Baylor – wouldn’t be looking up.

Arkansas fans are nervous ahead of tip because of it. Missouri is out two players, at least, which could give a bit of hope for the Razorbacks breaking their three-game skid.
