Q&A with Cheyenne McEvans - Syracuse University Athletics

As the Syracuse Orange prepare to host Wake Forest for the Atlantic Coast Conference opener in the JMA Wireless Dome on Sunday, Dec. 18 (12p.m., ACCN), we continue our Q&A series to help you get to know your Orange! In this edition we talk with junior Cheyenne McEvans.

What was the biggest part in deciding to transfer to Syracuse?

CM: I thought it was my best opportunity.

Who is your hero? Can you explain why?

CM: My mom. I’ve watched her overcome similar adverse situations with a level head and maturity.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? Why?

CM: I would live on my own island to get away from people. I would select who would be invited to my island. I want my island to consist of people with maturity and positive vibes and mindsets.

What is your favorite part of playing basketball?

CM: On the court, I love playing defense. Off the court, basketball has always provided me with something to do so I stay active and out of trouble.

A Macbook

What are you studying at Syracuse and how do you plan to use your degree after graduating?

I am studying psychology and I will go on to be a P.A.

What is your favorite food? Best place to get it?

Either my mom or my auntie’s macaroni and cheese.

In one word, how would you describe Coach Jack?

Passionate

What is your favorite place on campus?

My room, but if I had to pick another place it would be the Schine Student Center.

What are you most excited about this season?

I am most excited to watch our defense develop.
