As the Syracuse Orange prepare to host Wagner in the JMA Wireless Dome on Sunday, Dec. 11 (2p.m., ACCNX), we continue our Q&A series to help you get to know your Orange! In this edition we talk with graduate student Dariauna Lewis.

Where did you get your nickname from?

DL: A guy in the stands was talking about it when I was playing in middle school. He was saying that I was stretching across the floor to get the rebounds. It just stuck.

If you where not a basketball player, what sport would you go D1 in?

DL: Track

When you decided to transfer for your final year of college, what was your biggest factor in choosing Syracuse?

DL: I would say the coaching. I really needed someone I know would be there for me and support me.

What is one word you would use to describe Coach Jack?

DL:  Energetic.

Who is your biggest basketball inspiration?

DL:  Dennis Rodman

Would you rather skydive or bungee jump?

DL:  Skydive.

Why?

DL: You know, you feel free in the air, and you always need to feel free.

How would you describe the campus community at Syracuse?

DL: Very loving and open. A lot of people just speak to me even though I don’t know them. They are nice and open.

What is your favorite place to eat in Syracuse?

DL: Varsity pizza – really good.

What do you get there?

DL: I would say the wings. The wings are pretty good there.

What are you looking forward to this season?

DL: Mostly looking forward to having this experience on the stage with these people. I love my teammates and coaches. To have this experience with all these people is truly amazing.

What is one thing about you that you want the fans to know?

DL: I am a really fun person so if you every need someone to make you laugh. I am a great jokester!
