COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women’s basketball team falls to visiting No. 22 Georgetown (Ky.) 99-66 on Thursday evening at Biggers Sports Center.

Lindsey Wilson shot 40.7 percent from the field with a frustrating performance from deep going 1-for-14 beyond the arc. On the contrary, the Tigers were locked in from the field, shooting 61.9 percent on the floor. Georgetown dominated the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 44 to 22.

Lucy Patterson led the Blue Raiders in scoring with 14 points adding on four steals while Dayja Evans followed right behind with 13 points. 

Lindsey Wilson battled in the opening quarter, with both teams trading blows, showing LWC taking the 14-13 lead with 2:26 remaining in the quarter. The Blue Raiders wrapped up the first 10 minutes with the 19-18 lead.

Georgetown took over in the second quarter, limiting Lindsey Wilson’s offense to just 14 points while they added on 33 of their own, shooting 76.4 percent in the second quarter. The Tigers took a 51-33 lead into the half.

The Tigers continued pushing the pace in the second half, extending their lead to as many as 34 points in the fourth quarter.

Georgetown ultimately won the contest by 31 at 99-66.

Six Tigers finished the night in double figures as Jalynn Landversicht led the way with 15 points and eight rebounds.

Lindsey Wilson hits the road on Saturday when they take on No. 24 Cumberlands (Ky.) at O. Wayne Rollins Center at Noon CT.
