UNC basketball recruiting target hints decision could come any time

Hubert Davis watches five-star on Sunday

Hubert Davis and the UNC basketball program are ready to turn the page to December after losing two-straight games this weekend. But as the 2022-23 season goes on, recruiting is still a big focus for the staff at North Carolina.

And there’s a chance they can find out their fate for a five-star recruiting target soon enough.

Class of 2024 wing Trentyn Flowers is a big target for the Tar Heels as he’s down to 13 finalists. The Charlotte, North Carolina native has been pursued by UNC and other programs for months now and could be close to making a decision.

Flowers recently talked to Joe Tipton of On3 about his recruitment and revealed that a decision could come at any time:

While he does not have an exact commitment timeline, Flowers says a decision “could happen anytime. For me, it’s all about wherever is best, and the place that’s the best fit for me and my family.”

Flowers has also taken unofficial visits to Georgetown, North Carolina, and Virginia Tech.

Flowers does have a final 13 of North Carolina, Georgetown, Virginia Tech, Oklahoma, Creighton, Florida State, Louisville, Arkansas, Oregon, Georgia State, Georgetown, Kentucky, Alabama, and Kansas. He plans on cutting his list to five in January, that is if he doesn’t commit.
