Aberdeen, S.D. – The Saints even their home record at 1-1 tonight with a win against Oak Hill Christian College 166-69. Overall on the season the Saints are 2-4.

The Saints got off to a quick start scoring the game’s first four points. The Wolfpack never really got going in the first half and at the half way point the Saints had a 21-12 lead. The Saints cruised to a halftime lead of 51-26, part of the reason was Isaac Sumption who had four three pointers in the first half. The Saints also had contribution from all their starters in the first half on both ends of the court.

The Saints kept their foot on the gas in the second half as well. Sumption had the same number made threes in the second half as well. In the second half with the game in hand Coach Flemmer had an opportunity to go into his bench. Allowing some of the players who have not been in games much early a chance for playing time. The Saints overwhelmed the Wolfpack for a 116-69 victory.

By the Numbers…

Sumption lead all scorers with 27 points and the following stat line, 9-11 from the field, 8-10 from behind the arch and 1-2 from the free throw line. DJ Bonds came off the bench in this contest and scored 22. Travex Nyx had 18 and Brandon Doss had 12 for all the Saints who had double digit points. Kobe Jackson had eight rebounds and Brandon Doss had seven. Doss had eight and Nyx had six assists respectively. The Saints as a team shot 61.5% from the field, 48.1% from behind the arch and 58.3% from the free-throw line.

Next Up…

Next Up for the Saints is the third game of their home stand, The University of Minnesota – Morris will be in town on Tuesday 11/15/2022 at 7:00 PM. Then the Saints will go on the road to Minot State University on 11/17 and the University of Mary on 11/18.
