The NBA kicked off its 76th season Tuesday, and the superstars are demonstrating why they are the league’s elite. Ja Morant already has scored a season-high 49 points in only his second game. Notably, Tatum is off to a torrid start, and Luka is already doing Luka things with 33/8/8 splits. The league is in great hands whenever the iconic LeBron James decides to retire. Here are the way-too-early predictions for the All NBA teams:
All NBA First Team
Luka Doncic
Last season, Doncic’s usage rate led the league at a staggering 37.4% percent. His usage rate finished as the eighth-highest in NBA history behind notable names such as Russell Westbrook, James Harden, Kobe, Michael Jordan, Allen Iverson, and Giannis. Losing Jalen Brunson during the offseason to the Knicks will add even more to Luka’s plate. Spencer Dinwiddie, Tim Hardaway Jr., and Christian Wood may absorb some of the scoring load, but the team will depend heavily on the Slovenian superstar. As a result, Doncic will lead the Mavericks to the third-best record in the West and average a triple-double, adding his first MVP trophy to his celebrated mantle.
Giannis Antetokounmpo
The only unanimous player voted on last season’s All-NBA first team, the two-time MVP Antetokounmpo joins the group again as the best basketball player in the world. As the Bucks’ big three of Giannis, Khris Middleton, and Jrue Holiday lead them to another Central Division title, the 28-year-old star forward is the catalyst for their push with another MVP-caliber season.
