‘Drive the Lane with UAlbany Hoops’ to Return for 2022-23 Basketball Seasons


Weekly segment to be broadcast live on ESPN Radio 104.5 The Team from City Line Bar & Grill every Monday
 
ALBANY, N.Y. – The University at Albany is excited to continue its partnership with ESPN Radio 104.5 The Team and City Line Bar & Grill for another year of ‘Drive the Lane with UAlbany Hoops’. The weekly radio spot features head coaches Dwayne Killings and Colleen Mullen, along with select student-athletes, on air with ESPN Radio 104.5 The Team’s Charlie Voelker and Dan Bahl. The show will be held live every Monday from City Line Bar & Grill on Western Ave across the street from UAlbany’s campus.
 

The show is set to run every Monday throughout the basketball season from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Coaches and student-athletes join Charlie and Dan to break down games, give an inside look at the program, and connect with the Capital Region community. In addition, having the show at City Line Bar & Grill gives fans the unique opportunity to talk to the Great Danes in person. Due to team travel, the first show is set to air on Tuesday, Nov. 1. Drive the Lane returns on Monday, Nov. 7, before returning to two more Tuesday segments on Nov. 15 and 22 due to team travel during non-conference play.
 

“We are excited to partner with City Line Bar & Grill and ESPN Radio 104.5 The Team for another exciting year of ‘Drive the Lane’ with Charlie and Dan,” said Coach Mullen. “We look forward to providing the Capital Region a deeper, behind-the-scenes view of our programs. The players and coaches enjoy sharing the past week’s successes along with the preview for the upcoming games. We look forward to seeing fans at City Line Bar & Grill for the duration of the season.”
 
In addition, the 5:00 hour every Monday leading up to the ‘Drive the Lane’ segment will also feature programming with the Great Danes Athletics Department. UAlbany coaches, administrators, and student-athletes will join Charlie and Dan throughout the hour to discuss their seasons, experiences, expectations, and more. New guests are expected to join the show every week to give their unique takes and perspectives.
