The perception that Kevin Durant pushed for Steve Nash to get hired as the head coach of the Brooklyn Nets is inaccurate, sources told Ian Begley of SNY.
Begley adds that the decision to hire Nash was lead by Sean Marks.
Durant met with Nets owner Joe Tsai over the weekend to reiterate his trade request while communicating that Tsai much choose between him or the pairing of Nash and Marks.
Tsai publicly backed the Nets front office and coaching staff on Twitter.
