Boston big man alum Semi Ojeleye inks deal with Virtus Bologna

Former Boston Celtics power forward Semi Ojeleye has signed overseas with Virtus Segafredo Bologna according to a press release from the Italian ball club currently playing in the Euroleague and LNB league recently circulated.

Jesusemilore Talodabijesu Ojeleye (his full name), the Celtics’ selection with the 37th overall pick of the 2017 NBA draft, left the team in free agency in the 2021 offseason to join the Milwaukee Bucks as a reserve big man and was later dealt to the Los Angeles Clippers in a four-team trade in February of the following year. The Duke and SMU product averaged 3.5 points and 2.1 rebounds per game with the Celtics with solid defensive skills that have been his calling card as a professional.

He will join fellow ex-NBAers Marco Belinelli, Nico Mannion, Milos Teodosic, and Boston alumnus Jordan Mickey on Bologna’s roster.
