Dontrez Styles signs new NIL partnership

UNC basketball players continue to take advantage of the NIL by snagging new deals ahead of the upcoming season. And the latest player to do so is sophomore Dontrez Styles.

Styles has inked an NIL partnership with Salvios Pizza, located in Cary, North Carolina. Styles isn’t the first Tar Heel to sign with the pizza chain as Brady Manek and Justin McKoy both had NIL deals with Salvios. A nice perk with this NIL deal is that Styles will not only have a pizza named after him, but the 6-foot-6 Kinston native will have meal prep supplied.

Much like last season with Manek, Styles and McKoy will have meet and greets at the pizza restaurant for the fans to enjoy their Tar Heels and some pizza. It’s a good opportunity for fans to meet the players and share some time with them in an event,

Last season, Styles saw limited playing time averaging just 2 points and 1.4 rebounds on a six minutes average. Styles’ best game of the season came against Baylor in the NCAA tournament, where the freshman finished with nine points, three rebounds, and two steals. He also drained the first bucket of overtime, a three-pointer that gave UNC the lead.

This upcoming season, Styles is expected to see more time on the court, giving UNC fans a true treat after the glimpses of talent the four-star recruit showed last year.
