It’s been a busy couple of weeks for Iowa men’s basketball. Forward Kris Murray officially chose to return to Iowa City instead of remaining in the 2022 NBA draft.

Iowa head men’s basketball coach Fran McCaffery also announced the hiring of former Hawkeye guard and now assistant coach Matt Gatens. With the assistant coaching staff now whole after the addition of Gatens and the elevation of Courtney Eldridge, the Hawkeyes can now turn their attention full bore into summer recruiting efforts.

In addition to Iowa, Cooper also holds Power Five offers from Alabama, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Kansas State, LSU, Mississippi State, Missouri, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Rutgers, Texas, Texas Tech and Wake Forest.

Still, there’s no harm in Iowa offering the four-star talent. According to 247Sports, Kaiser is the No. 77 player nationally, the No. 15 small forward and the second-best player from Virginia in the 2023 class.

2024 center, Raleigh Burgess

One of the Hawkeyes’ most recent offers was to class of 2024 center Raleigh Burgess. A 6-foot-10, 205 pound center out of Sycamore High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, Burgess also holds offers from Cincinnati, Indiana, Ole Miss, Penn State, Purdue, Wake Forest and Wisconsin.
