The Minnesota Timberwolves are coming off of a dramatically improved season, finishing 46-36 and making the playoffs. This past year’s playoff berth is only the second time that the team had competed in post-season play since the 2003-04 season. They have the 19th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft to go along with three second-round draft picks at 40, 48, and 50 to help this team make the leap to a “championship contender”.
In April, the Minnesota Timberwolves extended head coach Chris Finch, proving to the team and the fans that he is their future.

Finch has a solid and young roster to work with, including two potential superstar pieces in C Karl-Anthony Towns and SG Anthony Edwards. The team also has PG D’Angelo Russell and Patrick Beverley, two backcourt cornerstones who played key roles in the team’s success this year, and both are still under contract.
The weakest position in their starting rotation is the power forward spot. Jarred Vanderbilt played well last year but added depth to that spot would help Minnesota make the jump. Not only would competition help Vanderbilt, but the Timberwolves found themselves struggling for rebounds against the Memphis Grizzlies.
The Timberwolves need help in the front court.
