Timberwolves Karl-Anthony Towns visits White House

The fact of life in the modern era is that professional athletes have become active in politics. While you may not automatically view the Minnesota Timberwolves as a hotbed of political activism, it doesn’t need to be a site of continuous demonstrations to make positive changes. We have more than enough evidence that the incentive for Karl-Anthony Towns is that he simply wants a better world for his children.

The list of honors and accolades for KAT is extensive. It is that willingness to give both of his time and financial resources that had prompted Dunking with Wolves contributor Travis Rose to dub him the People’s Champ.  That has led Karl Anthony Towns to be named as one of the five finalists for the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Social Justice Champion Award.

TWolves star center Towns has been very supportive of George Floyd’s family in the wake of his tragic passing, and Towns have been very active in rallies that demanded police reform.

So it makes sense that he would be invited to the signing into law of the Police Reform Bill.

The TWolves center was joined by girlfriend Jordyn Woods at the event.  After the event, KAT spoke to TMZ reporters outside the door.

So what was Towns’ perspective after the bill was signed?
