Alabama basketball ranks as a top-25 team according to CBS Sports

Alabama Basketball’s loss in March madness ranked on the Pain Index

Alabama men’s basketball made the NCAA Tournament as a No. 5 seed without any added stress of being ‘on the bubble,’ as they have been in recent years. While this is a solid step in the right direction for the program, it does not make the 2021-2022 season seem anything other than a disappointment.

Expectations are higher for Nate Oats and the Crimson Tide. Going dancing in March is not considered enough anymore. A deep run is what the fans need to be satisfied.

CBS Sports recently ranked the-25 college basketball teams after numerous transfers decided their destinations and recruiting classes are getting settled in.

Alabama comes in at No. 21 on the rankings.

“The Crimson Tide’s ranking is based on Alabama returning four of its top eight scorers from an NCAA Tournament team – among them Noah Gurley and Charles Bediako,” writes Gary Parrish. “Nate Oats should combine that core with a top-five recruiting class featuring two 5-star prospects and Ohio transfer Mark Sears.”

All eyes will be on the Crimson Tide this upcoming 2022-2023 season to see if Alabama can once again run the SEC.
