Even the NBA’s undeniable GOATs struggle with team success, though usually, that happens away from before or after their peak years.
We got all legends together and filtered them picking only the top 30 players from our HoopsHype 75 GOAT list to put together this ranking of NBA legends with the most losses in a single season.
Keep in mind these are losses in games in which they played, not overall team losses in a season.
Larry Bird and Magic Johnson always had great seasons, even in their worst campaigns: Bird never had more than 28 defeats and Johnson went on to win the 1982 NBA Finals after losing 23 games in the regular season.
