Jaylen Brown scored 25 of his 30 points in the first half, Jayson Tatum added 29 points along with eight assists and the Boston Celtics beat the Milwaukee Bucks 109-86 on Tuesday night to even the Eastern Conference semifinals at one game apiece.
Marcus Smart missed Game 2 against the Bucks with a quad contusion.
Giannis Antetokounmpo posted 28 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists, Jrue Holiday added 19 points and seven assists for the Bucks. Game 3 is on Saturday in Milwaukee.
After the game, the Celtics star Jayson Tatum talked about playing without fellow teammate Marcus Smart: “He’s the heart and soul of the team … everybody gotta do a little bit more and that’s what we did tonight.”
