Colorado transfer Keeshawn Barthelemy set to visit Oregon

According to DuckTerritory of 247Sports, former Colorado guard Keeshawn Barthelemy is expected to have an official visit with the Oregon Ducks sometime in the upcoming weeks. Barthelemy, who finished third in scoring for the Buffs last season, announced his decision to enter the NCAA transfer portal in late March.

Both hailing from Montréal in Canada, Barthelemy is friends with Oregon senior Quincy Guerrier, per DuckTerritory. They even played together on Canada’s U-17 team in the 2018 FIBA World Cup.

Averaging 11.2 points and 2.4 rebounds per game, Barthelemy was a key member of Colorado’s starting rotation, for at least most of 2021-22. His playmaking ability helped him create scoring opportunities for the Buffs, resulting in 78 assists. In 2020-21, he served as a backup point guard to McKinley Wright IV.

It became clear that Barthelemy might decide to transfer after freshmen guards KJ Simpson and Julian Hammond III became quickly deserving of more minutes as the season progressed. Barthelemy’s departure will leave a gap in Colorado’s point-production, which will hopefully be revamped by Princeton transfer Ethan Wright’s arrival.
