VCU adds Michigan transfer, 6’5 sophomore guard Zeb Jackson

VCU head coach Mike Rhoades has secured his first player from the transfer portal this offseason with Zeb Jackson, a 6’5 guard from Toledo, Ohio. Zeb spent two years with the Michigan Wolverines where he was hampered with injuries and struggled for minutes with a stacked Michigan roster. His credentials are quite impressive – he was a four star recruit, top 80 ranking out of high school. He played in 20 games for Michigan, where he averaged 1.5 points per game in 6.5 minutes per game.

Since this is Zeb’s first time navigating the transfer portal, he is eligible to play immediately for VCU and will have 3 years of eligibility remaining (due to last year’s COVID exemption). He will be joining perhaps one of the strongest A-10 backcourts in the 2022-2023 season with Ace Baldwin and Jayden Nunn.
