Cuonzo Martin out at Missouri after five seasons following 12-21 season for Tigers

After five seasons on the job, Cuonzo Martin is out as Missouri’s coach, according to multiple media reports and confirmed by CBS Sports’ Matt Norlander. Missouri’s season ended with a 76-68 loss to LSU in the second round of the SEC Tournament on Thursday. The move comes after a 12-21 (5-13 SEC) season for the Tigers, who made two NCAA Tournament appearances during Martin’s tenure. The former Tennessee and California coach departs with an 78-77 mark during his time with the program. 

Martin left Cal after three seasons to replace Kim Anderson after Anderson’s three-year run that saw the Tigers go just 27-68 (8-46 SEC). Given the status of things upon his arrival, Martin overachieved by getting his first team to the 2018 NCAA Tournament. That…
