Last month James Harden forced his way out of the Brooklyn Nets to join the Philadelphia 76ers in a multi-player deal. His former teammate Kevin Durant provided a different on why Harden could have wanted to be traded.
According to KD, it could have because the Nets were without Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant and with a goal of winning championship in mind, it could have dawned on Harden that he will not be able to achieve that in Brooklyn.
βYou can try to look at it from his perspective: Kaiβs not playing, and Iβm injured. He hasnβt won a championship before,β Durant said, per Kristian Winfield.
Kevin Durant suggests there’s not much the Nets could have said to keep James Harden in Brooklyn: “You can try to look at it from his perspective: Kai’s not playing, and I’m injured. He hasn’t won a championship before.”
