Even after over a decade since being removed from their college careers, the UNC basketball vs. Duke rivalry lives on between Wayne Ellington and Gerald Henderson.

The rivalry between the UNC basketball program and the Duke Blue Devils will always live on.

In fact, for the players involved, the rivalry lasts a lifetime. Once you’re invested in it, it never leaves you. How does the old saying go…

“You can take the Tar Heel out of Chapel Hill, but you cant take the Tar Heel out of the person.”

Thanks to social media, we got to witness the rivalry live out between two former players: Wayne Ellington and Gerald Henderson.

In lieu of the handshake issue that occurred after the Tar Heels defeated the Blue Devils on Saturday night, Henderson, who played at Duke for three seasons from 2006-2009, first spoke out to defend assistant coach Chris Carrawell.
