The UMBC Retrievers have been on the wrong side of a one-way rivalry with the UMass Lowell River Hawks and are hoping to record their first victory since Feb. 8 of 2020. The Retrievers and UMass Lowell are set to clash at 1 p.m. ET March 6 at Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena in the first round of the America East Conference Tourney. UMBC is out to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
UMBC was able to grind out a solid win over the Binghamton Bearcats on Tuesday, winning 78-68.
Meanwhile, UMass Lowell beat the Hartford Hawks 83-73 on Thursday.
