The Boston Celtics can’t afford to be without Jaylen Brown for a long stretch, and it sounds like they don’t plan on it.

Celtics president of basketball operations Brad Stevens admitted Thursday he overestimated the severity of the right ankle sprain Brown suffered in Tuesday’s win over the Atlanta Hawks.

“I think he’s doing better than I originally thought when I saw him go down,” Stevens said on 98.5 The Sports Hub’s “Toucher & Rich” show. “He’s going to be constantly reevaluated over the next couple days … but it doesn’t look like a long-term thing.”
