The #7 Duke Blue Devils are on the road again on Tuesday and play against the Pittsburgh Panthers at 8 p.m. ET March 1 at Petersen Events Center. Duke will be strutting in after a victory while Pitt will be stumbling in from a loss.
The Blue Devils made easy work of the Syracuse Orange this past Saturday and carried off a 97-72 win. Center Mark Williams continued his habit of dropping crazy stat lines, posting a double-double on 28 points and 12 rebounds along with three blocks.
Meanwhile, a victory for Pitt just wasn’t in the stars last week as the squad never even grasped a temporary lead. Their painful 85-64 defeat to the Miami (Fla.) Hurricanes might stick with them for a while. Guard Ithiel Horton had a rough night: he played for 32 minutes but put up just six points on 3-for-12 shooting and four turnovers.
