SANTA CRUZ, Calif. — The top-ranked Christopher Newport women’s basketball team will open it’s 2022 postseason run on Friday afternoon as it takes on #4 Mary Washington (18-8) at Kaiser Permanente Arena in Santa Cruz, Calif at Noon locally (3:00 pm EST). The Captains (22-0) will take on the Eagles for the third time this season as the two teams take the floor of the Golden State Warriors G-League Affiliate in the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference Tournament Semifinals.
The tournament is being hosted by C2C Member UC Santa Cruz, who will take on the #3 seed Salisbury University in the other semifinal matchup on Friday. The two winning teams will then advance to Saturday afternoon’s conference championship game set for 1:00 pm.
