IWBF Americas is pleased to announce that Confederação Brasileira de Basquetebol em Cadeira (CBBC) will host the 2022 Americas Cup in Sao Paulo, Brazil July 9 – 19, 2022.
The tournament will serve as the qualifier for the IWBF World Championships taking place 16 – 27 November 2022 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
IWBF Americas President Steve Bach said:
“We are looking forward to returning to Sao Paulo for this important competition. The past three years have been difficult for the players with limited chances for the teams to compete, so everyone is excited to finally have a host and a date confirmed.”

Brazil hosted the Americas Cup in 2002 and we are ready to have the Americas wheelchair basketball family back in Sao Paulo again.
