The Rutgers Scarlet Knights and the #12 Illinois Fighting Illini are set to square off in a Big Ten matchup at 7 p.m. ET Feb. 16 at Jersey Mike’s Arena. These two teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous games.
RU was able to grind out a solid win over the Wisconsin Badgers this past Saturday, winning 73-65. The Scarlet Knights can attribute much of their success to guard Paul Mulcahy, who had 18 points and five assists along with five boards, and guard Ron Harper Jr., who had 21 points in addition to six rebounds.
Meanwhile, the Fighting Illini beat the Northwestern Wildcats 73-66 on Sunday. Among those leading the charge for Illinois was guard RJ Melendez, who had 14 points in addition to six boards.
