Devils Rack Up Fifth Straight Win With Season Sweep of Diplomats

LANCASTER, Pa. – The Dickinson women’s basketball team had three of their five starters post double-digits en route to a comfortable 67-50 Centennial Conference win on Wednesday night over the rival Franklin & Marshall College Diplomats at the Mayser Center. 

The Red and White jumped out to the early lead as Gina Neigel scored inside and Jennifer Kremp knocked down a long shot from deep for the 5-0 lead. Natalie Kolb and Kenna Williams helped the home side to chip away at the deficit making it 8-4. Dickinson would extend the lead to six twice at 11-5 on a foul shot by Neigel and 13-7 after Neigel finished off a reserve layup. A 7-2 F&M run cut the margin to 15-14, but four straight by Caitlin Blackman had DC on top 19-14 after one. 

Dickinson began the second period scorching hot as they went on a 13-0 run over the opening 4:25 with Kate Montgomery accounting for eight of the points, while Mia Kolb, Clair Marion, and Neigel added buckets for the guests to take a 32-14…
